Darrion Trammell Named WAC Player of the Week

DENVER – After a double-double performance by Darrion Trammell in a win over Portland, the sophomore guard was awarded the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for December 28 through January 3.

In the win over Portland, Trammell was everywhere on the court as he managed to put up a team high 25 points while still getting his teammates involved with 13 assists. That assist total was his highest of the season and marked the first time he had recorded a double-double in a Redhawks uniform.

Trammell has arguably been the biggest addition to the Seattle U roster this year after transferring over from the City College of San Francisco. He is averaging 17.5 points and 6 assists per game on the season despite only starting in half of the Redhawks games to this point.

Seattle U and Trammell will be back in action this Saturday when they play host to Saint Martin’s at 6 p.m. That game will be broadcast live on the WAC Digital Network along with the radio stream on 770 KTTH (mynorthwest.com).
