In the highly anticipated group stage match up, the United States and Wales battled it out in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In the first half USMNT pressured the ball and capitalized on a goal in the 36th minute after Christian Pulisic found Tim Weah with a perfectly placed pass. The Second half displayed more stellar defensive play. Wales received a break when Gareth Bale drew a foul inside the box which resulted in a penalty kick goal.
