The UCLA Bruins defeated the Utah Utes 72-70 on Thursday night. Chris Smith led the Bruins offensively with 16 points after trading buckets throughout the game with Utah’s Alfonso Plummer, who put up 22 points for the Utes. The New Years Eve victory marked the fifth straight for UCLA.
