Seahawks offensive lineman Austin Blythe announced his retirement from football via Instagram on Tuesday. Here’s what you need to know:

Blythe, 30, started every game at center for Seattle last season and was set to become a free agent.
He played seven seasons in the league and had stints with the Colts, Rams and Chiefs prior to signing a one-year deal with the Seahawks in March 2022.
Blythe began his NFL career in 2016 when Indianapolis selected him out of Iowa in the seventh round of the draft.

It was an honor to represent myself, my family, and everyone else the last 7 years.
