John Smoltz gives Ben Verlander his comparison for Japan superstar Roki Sasaki and Smoltz says that he is somewhere between Texas Rangers Jacob deGrom and Los Angeles Angels Shohei Ohtani. He also says that he will possibly get the largest contract for a pitcher when he is posted. Even Japan’s manager said that he is further along than Shohei Ohtani was at this point.
