The Oklahoma Sooners visited the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Huskers first game without Scott Frost. In the rivalry renewed, Nebraska took an early 7-0 lead on an incredible post route touchdown from Casey Thompson to Trey Palmer. Then Dillon Gabriel settled in with the Oklahoma offense. The Sooners would go on to score 49 unanswered points, eventually winning the game 49-14. Dillon Gabriel finished with 230 pass yards, two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown. Running back Eric Gray finished with 113 rush yards and 2 touchdowns.
