NWSL to the Bay is a go for 2024.
On Tuesday, the NWSL announced that it has officially awarded expansion rights to an investment group located in the Bay Area, led by investment firm Sixth Street as the club’s majority investor. Former players Brandi Chastain, Leslie Osborne, Danielle Slaton and Aly Wagner, who have been working on the expansion efforts in Northern California for the last three years or so, are partnered with Sixth Street, and will serve on the club’s board.
