Nashville SC were able to overpower Atlanta in the first half when Fafà Picault found himself in the perfect position to score a tap-in goal to help grab a 1-0 lead right before halftime. In the second half Nashville FC’s Teal Bunbury found the net after a wicked shot by Hany Mukhtar to give Nashville SC a 2-0 lead over Atlanta United. Atlanta United retaliated when Thiago Almada scored a penalty kick after Matheus Rossetto dragged a penalty. To seal the game Jacob Shaffelburg’s clinical strike in stoppage time secured Nashville SC’s 3-1 victory over Atlanta United.
