Michigan’s Juwan Howard, Wisconsin’s Greg Gard involved in altercation after Badgers win

Michigan coach Juwan Howard and Wisconsin coach Greg Gard got into an altercation postgame that led to a bigger scuffle between the teams following the Badgers' 77-63 win over the Wolverines on Sunday. After the game, as the teams made their way to the handshake line, Howard and Gard got into an animated discussion as they were passing by one another. As words were exchanged and fingers pointed, coaches and players attempted to intervene and separate the two before Howard threw an open hand at Wisconsin assistant Joe Krabbenhoft, escalating the situation.After that, the scrum grew to include multiple coaches and players, with punches thrown before things were broken up for good. Following being separated, Howard and Gard remained on the court, staring each other down for a time. The scuffle marred a 25-point performance by Wisconsin's Johnny Davis, who continues to make a case for national player of the year in the win. Additionally, all five of Wisconsin's starters finished with 10-plus points. Michigan was led by Hunter Dickinson with 21 points.
