Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes Diogo Jota’s ankle injury “looks a little better than first thought” but says Roberto Firmino “will be out for a while” with a muscle problem.Klopp addressed the two injuries following Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Norwich City on Saturday afternoon. The German coach had already ruled Jota unavailable ahead of the game, with Firmino’s absence confirmed when the starting line-ups were announced.Speaking after the game, Klopp said: “With Diogo, it looks a little bit better than we first thought. With Bobby (Firmino), we didn’t even know that he had something until he felt it only after the game (in midweek).“We all thought it is a little thing, but it’s a muscle injury and we have to see how long it will take. I don’t know at the moment, but for sure not for the next game, so we have to see.”He added: “Bobby Firmino has a muscle problem and is out for a while, so we have to keep the boys fit and create a spirit like the boys did today in the game.”Klopp also addressed the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who did not make the match-day squad for the win over Norwich. He said: “We rested Trent today and the rest pretty much were in the squad or played.”Liverpool beat Norwich thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz, having gone a goal down early in the second half via Milot Rashica.(Photo: Andrew Powell/Liverpool FC via Getty Images)
