Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino will not be available for Liverpool’s visit of Leeds United on Wednesday evening after not yet returning to training.Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed on Tuesday the attacking duo have not yet returned to training after sustaining injuries.“No chance for either of them (to play against Leeds)”, Klopp confirmed. It is a big week for Liverpool with the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea coming on Sunday, just four days after the Leeds match.Klopp, however, stopped short of ruling Jota and Firmino out of the final, saying: “Sunday, we will see.“It will be easier for me to say no now but they are pushing. They are not on the pitch for training which is not a good sign. We’ll make a decision in the week.”Jota picked up an ankle injury during last week’s 2-0 win at Inter Milan and was withdrawn for Firmino at half-time.After the match, Klopp said that Jota’s injury was “something to do with the ligaments” and — ahead of their 3-1 victory over Norwich City on Saturday — confirmed that Firmino had also sustained a muscle injury in the same game. Both forwards missed the Norwich win, with Klopp adding that Jota’s ankle injury “looks a little better than first thought” after the match.(Photo: Jose Breton/Pics Action/NurPhoto via Getty Images)
