In another New York Jets quarterback twist, the team is waiving Tim Boyle and adding Brett Rypien to the 53-man roster off the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad, according to reports. CBS Sports first reported the news.
Boyle became the starter only two weeks ago after the Jets benched a struggling Zach Wilson, who was replacing the injured Aaron Rodgers. The Jets pulled Boyle from their Week 13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons after a second week of poor play, replacing him with veteran Trevor Siemian.
