Dustin Johnson will continue to participate on the PGA Tour, according to a statement published on Sunday. The 24-time PGA Tour winner put to rest any speculation about joining the rumored Saudi Golf League."I remain fully committed to the PGA Tour," Johnson said in the statement. “I am grateful for the opportunity to play on the best tour in the world and for all it has provided me and my family."Johnson was rumored to be one of the golfers joining the Saudi Golf League. Last month, Johnson said he couldn't discuss the new tour because he signed a non-disclosure agreement. Johnson joins Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm Collin Morikawa, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas as the golfers who will not be joining the rumored Saudi Golf League. The Saudi Golf League is reportedly seen as a rival circuit to the PGA Tour, with golfers receiving large sums of money (eight-to-nine figures) to join. Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau are the two most recognizable golfers rumored to join this new tour. Johnson, 37, has been a World No. 1 golfer for a total of 130 weeks. He is a two-time major champion: the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club and the 2020 Masters at Augusta National.(Photo by Ben Jared/PGA TOUR via Getty Images)
