Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau will not join the rumored Saudi Golf League, according to statements released on Sunday. Both golfers will continue to participate on the PGA Tour. "I remain fully committed to the PGA Tour," Johnson said in the statement. “I am grateful for the opportunity to play on the best tour in the world and for all it has provided me and my family."Johnson was rumored to be one of the golfers joining the Saudi Golf League. Last month, Johnson said he couldn't discuss the new tour because he signed a non-disclosure agreement. DeChambeau, 28, was also rumored to be one of the prominent golfers joining the Saudi Golf League."I want to make it very clear that as long as the best players in the world are playing the PGA Tour, so will I,' DeChambeau said in a statement.Johnson and DeChambeau join Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm Collin Morikawa, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas as the golfers who will not be joining the rumored Saudi Golf League.The Saudi Golf League is reportedly seen as a rival circuit to the PGA Tour, with golfers receiving large sums of money (eight-to-nine figures) to join. Phil Mickelson is the most recognizable golfer rumored to join this new tour. Johnson, 37, has been a World No. 1 golfer for a total of 130 weeks. He is a two-time major champion: the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club and the 2020 Masters at Augusta National.DeChambeau is an eight-time winner on the PGA Tour, including the 2020 U.S. Open at Winged Foot.
