The fireworks were lit early as Josko Gvardiol for Croatia scored in 7’ followed by Morocco’s Achraf Dari scoring in 9’. Croatia would notch one more goal in the first half behind Mislav Orsic in 42’. Croatia would go on to win by the 2-1 score and take third place, becoming the sixth nation to finish third multiple times.
