Colombia took on the USA in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. The USA got out to an early lead on a Mike Trout single. Colombia would regain the lead after a sac fly by Gio Urshela and an RBI double by Reynaldo Rodriguez. Mike Trout would put the team on his back and cranked a two-run single. The USA would never look back and won 3-2.
