Canada looked to bounce back against Colombia after a mercy-rule loss to USA. There was an early pitching dual between Canada’s Noah Skirrow and Colombia’s Adrian Almeida. Skirrow tossed five scoreless innings allowing just two hits and struck out five batters. Canada’s Bo Naylor hit an RBI single in the fourth inning to take the early lead. Team Canada added another run in the eighth, Owen Caissie hit an RBI single scoring Otto Lopez. In the ninth, Otto Lopez smashed a three-run bomb to left center extending the lead. Canada defeated Colombia 5-0 and will play Mexico tomorrow for a ticket to Miami.
