Manchester City defender Kyle Walker will remain suspended for Manchester City’s next two Champions League matches after governing body UEFA dismissed the club’s appeal on Friday.Walker, 31, was shown a straight red card for a kick on Leipzig forward Andre Silva in City's Champions League defeat by the Germans.He was subsequently banned for City’s next three European matches and was forced to sit out this week’s 5-0 victory over Sporting in Lisbon.City appealed his ban but UEFA have upheld their original decision, which means Walker will miss the second leg of the tie against Sporting as well as the first leg of the quarter-final, should his side progress as expected.Walker was not the only player to receive bad news from UEFA on Friday.Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco will also remain suspended for three matches after he was banned for raising his hands to Otavio in a bad-tempered 3-1 victory over Porto in December.Atletico Madrid play Manchester United in their last-16 first leg next week, with Carrasco now certain to miss both fixtures.UEFA also said Porto defender Wendell will serve a three-game ban after he was dismissed in the same game for appearing to strike Matheus Cunha with his elbow.Porto finished third in their group behind Liverpool and Atletico and dropped down to the Europa League.
