HOUSTON — Major League Baseball has concluded its investigation into Hector Neris and issued the veteran reliever an undisclosed fine for his actions on Sept. 27 toward Seattle outfielder Julio Rodríguez, a league source said.
Houston general manager Dana Brown first revealed on Thursday that Neris avoided a suspension. A league source confirmed that the investigation into the benches-clearing incident is considered closed.
