Israel faced off against Nicaragua in the World Baseball Classic on March 12th. In the first inning, Israel was close to scoring but Nicaragua managed to escape a bases-loaded jam. In the fifth inning, Brandon Leyton roped an RBI double off the wall to take a 1-0 lead. In the eighth inning, Garett Stubbs’ RBI Double and Spencer Horwtiz’s RBI single helped Israel grab a 3-1 lead against Nicaragua to win the game.
